Abbie Wood
Overview
Dr. Abbie Wood joined the 成人B站 Department of Political Science & International Affairs in August 2026. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and a B.S. in Political Science from East Tennessee State University.
Her research focuses on judicial politics and, more specifically, the U.S. Supreme Court. Her doctoral research examines how U.S. Supreme Court justices choose to engage with the American public through their off-the-bench behavior.
Prior to coming to 成人B站, she taught a variety of American politics as well as law and courts courses including American Government, Constitutional Law, Criminal Courts, and Politics of Law and Courts.
She greatly enjoys introducing students to political science and helping them see its relevance to their lives!
In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, visiting coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
